Therapy services for children and families

Children and adolescents with learning differences can often have a tough time at school and in their communities. Understanding information in the classroom when being taught can be as hard as dealing with relationships. This presents a variety of expectations that require attention to detail, focus, and planning that are often difficult for diverse learners to handle effectively without help. These challenges are similar to what adults face when navigating work, family, and overall life demands. We seek to help all children, adults, and their families. We value all people with learning differences that make day to day life experiences demanding. We advocate for all by assisting with learning and emotional strengths,  areas of need to foster growth,  and the skills needed to help people prosper.

All children are individuals and learn in different ways. Sometimes school can be challenging, due to the fact that there may not be a proper "fit" between the teaching being delivered in the classroom and the child's learning style.

A comprehensive evaluation is appropriate to help parents, teachers, and students determine:

1. The child's style of information processing;

2. The child's level of intellectual functioning;

3. The child's academic performance; and,

4. The best way instruction can be delivered in the classroom to optimize the child's learning.

Children can also learn and deal with social information in diverse ways as well. Social/emotional assessments can help to figure out whether or not behavioral issues need more focus.
